Mobile Specialist Position (Open)

Who are we looking for?

Are you the guy everyone in the shop ask for help on diagnoses and wiring? Do you hate the ups and downs of flat rate? Tired of spending thousands every year on buying tools? Do you want to transition to a position where you no longer do any repairs? Are you are tired of doing R&R jobs and wasting your talents all day? We are looking for you!

Our IDEAL candidate will have experience programming modules using multiple factory scan tools, diagnosing vehicles using a solid foundational electrical knowledge set to a very HIGH ACCURACY, experience using an oscilloscope and other advanced diagnostic tools, be an ASE Master Certified L1 Technician, and have a passion and willingness to learn while having a great attitude!

We DO NOT work for the regular Joe in their driveways. We ONLY service professional repair shops and collision centers!


What do we offer?

A company vehicle, gas card, and phone: Most technicians can take the vehicle home every day.

All tools are provided: You will not be required to purchase ANY tools to do your job.

Hourly pay with bonuses for productivity: An ideal candidate starts at $30/hr. or more after the 90-day probation period. (No flat rate here)

Company paid training: We attend over 100 hours of structured training a year, virtually and in person instructor lead (Yes, we pay you for the time you are off work as well to attend training).

We have a very solid tech support TEAM in house as well as a phone support team comprised of over 100 OE Master Certified technicians.

No Weekends: We are only open Monday – Friday 8-5.

Paid vacation and personal leave.

Company paid short term disability and accident insurance.

We are exploring medical insurance options for the company.


What does a Mobile Specialist do?

Depending on the specialty and experience of the technician a L1 Mobile Specialist may be required to:

Diagnose driveability, immobilizer and a host of other wiring issues.

Update and reprogram modules using OE factory scan tools.

Perform ADAS calibrations.

Perform Pre and Post scans.

Cut and program vehicle keys.

Perform R-1234yf refrigerant evac and recharge services.

Write the findings and processes they perform in reports.

Consistently stay on top of industry technology with training.

And any other associated task…


Requirements:

Have a passion to learn and grow your automotive knowledge.

Have a great attitude and be TEAM oriented in your actions.

Have a clean driving record.

Perform module programming with OE and J2534 tooling.

Diagnose complex wiring and network issues.

Learn ADAS, immobilizer diagnosis and programming as well other related tasks.

Attain ASE L1 Advanced Level Certification within 1 year of start of employment.

Attain EPA 609 Certificate: Required when doing any mobile HVAC refrigerant work.

Pass a background check and drug test.

Occasionally lift 50 pounds.

Spend multiple hours a day in and out of a work vehicle.

Bend and twist into vehicles and tight spaces for diagnosis.

And any other required activities to perform the job duties…
